First Hajj flight reached Lahore with 421 pilgrims

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The first Hajj flight on Sunday reached Lahore carrying 421 pilgrims from Jeddah on early morning of Sunday. According to the details garnered, the return of Hujjaj has been started and 421 pilgrims reached Lahore through private airlines including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). First Hajj flight carrying 207 Hujjaj reached Lahore airport at 1:30am, while second flight of PIA with 214 pilgrims reached at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore at 7:30am. A large number of relatives of the pilgrims were present at the airport to receive their loved ones. They showered flowers on Hujjaj and congratulated on their reception. Stringent security arrangements had been made on the occasion. Meanwhile on Saturday, 166 pilgrims reached Karachi by PK-8702. PIA Station Manager Ahmed Alam, District Manager Shoaib Ahmed Shah and other officers welcomed the pilgrims. On the other hand, a flight carrying 140 pilgrims reached Faisalabad. Commissioner Mahmood Javed Bhatti, the Airport Manager and CAA officers welcomed the pilgrims. According to the PIA spokesperson, the national flag carrier will operate 290 special and scheduled flights from Jeddah and Madina Munawwara. Over 82,000 Hujjaj will reach Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Sialkot, Multan, Quetta and Faisalabad by PIA flights.
