First Int’l PACES championship kicks off in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – First International Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) championship kicks off in Lahore on Tuesday (today). The launching ceremony of the fist Physical Agility and Combat Efficiency System (PACES) was held at Ayub Stadium in which Army teams from 15 countries including Nepal, United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, China, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey and Maldives are participating. paces-2 The band of Rangers played tunes while thousands of pigeons and balloons were also released during the opening ceremony of the event. Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali Khan met the visiting teams, while the captain of Saudi Arabian team presented shield to the Corps Commander on behalf of Saudi government. The teams from ten countries will be competing in the event which would continue for six days, while the army teams from four countries are participating as an observer.
