Five dacoits killed in encounter with police in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - Five dacoits were killed while two others managed to escape in an encounter with police in Sector B-11 on Tuesday night.

According to the police, the dacoits entered a house and started collected valuables. The police reached the spot after receiving a call on 15.

On seeing the police, the dacoits opened fire, which was retaliated. As a result, five dacoits died on the spot.

The police said that three of the deceased have been identified. "The dacoits were Afghan nationals and habitual criminals. Recovered automatic weapons have been sent to the laboratory for forensic," they added.

One of the dacoits hid himself in a water tank and escaped from the site after six hours.
