ISLAMABAD (92 News) - A five-day anti-polio drive has been launched in 25 high-risk districts of the country. During the campaign, more than 12 million children will be vaccinated against polio.

A five-day polio vaccination campaign has started today on Monday, under which a target of 12.6 million children has been set.

Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel says that 25 districts have been declared sensitive for polio where all children will be vaccinated against polio. The government has formulated an effective and integrated strategy to eradicate polio. Will

Dr Shehzad Baig, coordinator of the anti-polio campaign, said that the emergence of polio patients in North Waziristan was a matter of concern and all necessary steps were being taken to eradicate the disease.

Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel said that we all need to fulfill our responsibility for the complete eradication of polio virus.
