Five dead as chartered plane crashes in Mumbai's Ghatkopar

MUMBAI (92 News) – Five people have been died after a 12 seater chartered plane at an under construction building at Sarvoday Nagar area of Ghatkopar (West) in Mumbai on Thursday. The pilot, two engineers, a technician on board of the ill-fated plane and a pedestrian died in the crash, said aviation regulator DGCA in a statement. Their bodies were charred. According to the Indian media, the chartered plane was owned by state Uttar Pradesh. The parts of the plane showed a logo of Uttar Pradesh government. A team of officials of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) rushed to the crash site for an investigation, an official said.
