Five die as unknown assailants open fire on passenger bus in Gilgit

GILGIT (92 News) – Five people were killed and eight others injured when unknown attackers opened fire on a passenger van in Naltar, Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday.

The Gilgit SSP said that unknown people had opened fire on the bus. The bodies and injured have been shifted to Gilgit.

On the other hand, relatives of the deceased staged a sit-in outside Chief Minister House. They demanded immediate arrest of the attackers and justice for them.

Gilgit Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan has taken notice of the incident and expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families.

He ordered immediate arrest of the killers. He also ordered the best medical treatment to the injured.

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the murder of five people. He expressed his sympathies with the bereaved families, ordering strict action against the culprits.
