Five newly-elected PTI MPAs take oath in Punjab Assembly

LAHORE (92 News) - Five newly-elected MPAs belonging to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took the oath in the Punjab Assembly on Thursday.

PA Speaker Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi administered the oath to the newly-elected MPAs Batool Zain, Saira Raza, Fauzia Abbas, Samuel Yaqoob and Habkook Gill.

After taking the oath by the newly-elected MPAs, the PTI and the PML-Q jointly have 173 seats while the ruling alliance enjoys the support of 176 MPAs.

On Wednesday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had issued a notification for five reserved seats of the Punjab Assembly.

For the women's seats, the notification was issued for Batool Zain, Saira Raza and Fauzia Abbas. For the minorities seats, the notification was issued for Samuel Yaqoob and Habkook Gill.
