Five terrorists killed in CTD encounter in Gujrat

GUJRAT (92 News) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has on Thursday gunned down five terrorists and three others managed to flee during a raid in Gujrat’s Kanjah area.

As per details, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out a raid in Gujrat’s Kanjah area.

During the raid, the terrorists hiding in the area opened firing on police party, in retaliation five terrorists were killed on the spot while three others managed to escape.

Weapons, hand grenades, explosive material and detonators were also recovered from the slain terrorists.

Sources said that the slain terrorists belonged to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban and Al Qaeda who wanted to target sensitive installations in Gujrat and Kharian.

Police have launched search operation for the arrest of escaped terrorists.
