KARACHI (92 News) – Police have on Sunday released Fix-it campaign founder Alamgir Khan after he was arrested outside Karachi Press Club.

Fix-it campaigner along with his companions staged a protest outside Karachi Press Club for against removal of Inspector General of Police Sindh AD Khawaja.

Police used tear gas shelling, aerial firing, water cannon and baton-charge to disperse protesters.

The protesters tried to enter the ‘red zone’ to protest against the removal of Inspector General of Police Sindh AD Khawaja in front of Chief Minister House.

Police tried to stop the protesters from reaching the CM House when the situation worsened.

“We warned them not to march towards the CM House but the protesters tried to take the law into their own hands and were becoming difficult to control,” the police officer said.
