Fixit founder, PTI MNA Alamgir Khan again released after brief arrest
KARACHI (92 News) – Police again released FixIt founder and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) member of the National Assembly (MNA) Alamgir Khan shortly after his second time arrest in Karachi.
Hours after release, the police on Sunday arrested second time Alamgir Khan for violation of Section-144.
The police personnel thrashed Alimgir Khan when he was arrested from protesting venue after his release he again staged a protest outside police station with his workers.
The police have arrested PTI MNA again and registered a first information report (FIR) against Alamgir Khan at Ferrier police station Karachi. He was also shifted to the Ferrier police station.
The PTI MNA announced to register FIR against Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani ahead of his arrest. He vowed to stage protest outside Sind Chief Minister’s House. He said that the PPP is promoting the politics of violence.
Earlier, police released FixIt founder and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) member of the National Assembly (MNA) Alamgir Khan released shortly after he was detained by police in Karachi.
According to the details garnered, Police detained the PTI’s MNA alongside at least three others following a clash between FixIt volunteers and PPP workers in Karachi.
Clash erupted between FIxIt workers and PPP ‘Jiyalas’ outside the outside Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani’s office at Teen Talwar Clifton area of Karachi on Sunday evening.
According to the reports, a protest was called by the FixIt workers outside local government office. PPP workers gathered ahead of time and both groups clashed when they were raising slogans one another.
The protesting place was become war zone and the workers used sticks. The police had to intervene in the fight. At least five persons including DSP and sub-inspector were also injured.
Meanwhile, the police have controlled the situation and multiple arrests have been made.
The police baton charged to disperse the protestors and the workers ran to the place. The arrested workers shifted to the concerned police stations.
The PPP workers had sticks with them. Despite FixIt head and MNA Alamgir Khan’s claims, no weapons were seen in their hands.
According to the SSP South Sheraz Nazir, the persons were injured from both the parties during the clash.
FIxIt founder and PTI MNA Alamgir Khan said that the attack was per-planned by Sindh government on the peaceful protestors.
Prior to his arrest, Alamgir Khan said that FixIt campaigners were staging a demonstration against water and sewerage issues. He alleged that the ones involved in violence were PPP supporters.
He also announced to file a case against the provincial minister and other government officials. “I will not sit silently and raise this issue at every forum,” he added.
He claimed that he met many times with the water board MD but if the MNA is being treated in such a way how will be dealt a common citizen.
On the other hand, Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani rejected the accusations.
