GUJRANWALA (92 News) – Federal Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir Khan has said that the flood affected power transmission system has been fully restored.

Addressing a news conference in Gujranwala, he said that the transmission system was badly damaged by the unprecedented floods, as power poles were washed away in some areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Replying to a question, the minister said that load shedding has been controlled during summer by running all power plants in the country."The oil and power prices are likely to decrease from next month which will also help to lower prices of other items.

"The difficult time has passed and now economic conditions will improve gradually. This is the time to help the flood affectees rather than doing politics," he added.

Khurram Dastgir said that Imran Khan's signature is present on the IMF agreement. "The electricity bills were very sad but the prime minister gave immediate relief. The corruption of Tehreek-e-Insaf will be exposed soon before the people," he added.

The federal minister said that the price of electricity will come down after a month. "The price of oil and gas will come down when the government will complete its term in August. The relief given by the prime minister of 300 units was only for one month," he concluded.
