Monsoon makes life a hell in Balochistan, death toll rises to 197

QUETTA (92 News) - There is a flood in several districts due to heavy rains in the fourth spell of monsoon in Balochistan, raising the death toll to 197. 

Torrential rains are continuing in most districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, during the fourth spell of monsoon. Due to which many districts are facing flood situation. 

According to the report issued by the PDMA, the number of people who died in various accidents and incidents has reached 197. During the last 24 hours, 10 people were killed due to floodwater coming from Koh Sulaiman in Musakhel. 

In Kohlu too, due to the rains, many villages were submerged due to which people are forced to live under the open sky. An alert was issued in Tehsil Chhatar of Naseerabad due to flood relay coming from Nadi River in Sabi.

A high flood is also passing in Mola river in Jhal Magsi. Due to which many villages came under water. There is also a possibility of water entering the residential areas due to a crack in the Shahi Canal in Jaffarabad.

Rescue and relief operation of PDMA department, Pak Army and FC is also going on in the affected areas. Along with providing tents and food items to the victims, rehabilitation of the affected highways and houses has also been started.
