LAHORE (92 News) – The flour price has increased to Rs 76 per kg across the province. In Faisalabad, the flour price has exceeded Rs 75 per kg. The situation is not different in Multan and Bahawalpur. In Rahimyar Khan, there is an acute shortage of flour despite provision of wheat from the government. People said that the flour price had gone beyond the reach of the common man. They said that a 20kg flour is being sold at Rs 1,500. They added that Chakki owners are selling flour at their own rates. They appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to reduce the flour prices at the earliest. On the other hand, Chakki owners said that how they can sell flour at cheap rates after purchasing wheat at high rates.
