FM Bilawal Bhutto, Iranian counterpart discuss global & regional developments

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on his Iranian counterpart Amir Abdolahian on the sidelines of the 26th Economic Coordination Organization (ECO) Council of Ministers in Tashkent on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthen brotherly relations with Iran. Both sides also discussed important global and regional developments.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto met Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.

Reaffirming close fraternal ties between two countries, two FMs resolved to further strengthen entire spectrum of bilateral relations. Important global and regional developments were also discussed.

Earlier addressing the 26th ECO Council of Ministers, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said: "We have a special responsibility towards the people in our region to convert challenges into opportunities, obstacles into solutions, and ideas into reality for a brightened future region.

"The issue of climate cooperation is very significant. We need to develop a time-responsive, well-funded, and strategically robust emergency response mechanism within the region."
