FM Qureshi arrives in Qatar on one day official visit

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has arrived in Qatar on one day official visit. At the airport, he was received by high officials of the Qatri Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Pakistan Embassy in Doha. During the visit, he will hold meetings with top leadership of Qatar including the prime minister and vice prime minister. According to the sources, they will exchange views about Afghan reconciliation process, bilateral relations and other important regional and global issues during these meetings. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and regional matters including the situation in Afghanistan. Earlier on Wednesday, Shah Mahmood Qureshi returned home after his marathon four countries tours. During his visit, he held a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on his trip to Moscow, his last stop on a whirlwind four-nation tour. The ministers talked about the revival of peace process in Afghanistan. They also discussed the bilateral relations between Russia and Pakistan and developments in the regional situation. In the first two days of his three-day trip, the foreign minister visited Kabul, Tehran and Beijing where he met his counterparts and other high-ranking officials. He discussed regional peace and stability and matters of mutual interest with the three neighbours.
