FM Qureshi lauds Romanian support for Pakistan in European Union

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a meetign with Romania Finance Minister Florin Spataro on Monday.

They exchanged views on matters of multual interests, bilateral trade and mutual support for promotion economic sectors on the level of European Union (EU).

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan gives a huge importance to relations with Romania regarding bilateral relations and the EU. “The agenda of our government consprises of economical priorities."

He said: "In the past few years, trade relations between Pakistan and Romania has been significantly increased. The exports ratio has continuously been increasing between Pakistan and Romania. An increase of 50% in last fiscal year and in the first six months of current fiscal year increase of 40% trade is the evidence strengthening economical relations of Pakistan and Romania.”

The minister also appreciated support of Romania for Pakistan in the EU. Both sides appreciated incease in bilateral trade despite of challenge of pandemic. They agreed on bilateral relations of Pakistan and Romania and more strengthening economical relations between Pakistan and Romania.

Pakistani Ambassador to Romania Dr Zafar Iqbal was also present.
