HAINAN (92 News) – Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Hainan province of China on Friday. Prior to his departure, the foreign minister had recorded a video message to discuss the purpose of the visit. “I had a discussion regarding the China visit with Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday [Wednesday]. Our delegation will convey the vision of Pakistan’s political and military leadership,” the minister said in the  message. “I hope my meeting with Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi will prove beneficial for both countries,” he added. He will also hold meetings with senior Chinese officials during his Beijing visit. Issues of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation, the phase-II of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and regional security will come under discussion in these meetings. It is noteworthy that the first Pakistan-China foreign ministers’ strategic dialogue had taken place in March.
