FM Qureshi prays for early recovery of Syed Ali Gilani

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday prayed for early recovery and long life of ailing All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman Syed Ali Gilani. In his video message, FM Qureshi said that Gilani being a beacon of courage and perseverance was striving for the independence of the occupied Kashmir. “The Kashmiri people consider Syed Ali Gilani as a ray of hope in their struggle against the Indian occupation of Kashmir,” he said. “The unwavering passion of the people of the Kashmir has once again made it evident that the people of the occupied territory could not be held hostage through repressive acts,” Shah Mehmood Qureshi maintained. FM Qureshi further said the people of Pakistan stand alongside the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the self-determination. “The resolution of Kashmir issue is necessary for lasting peace in the region,” he added. He assured that Pakistan extends its complete support towards the people of the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Appeal to pray for early recovery of Syed Ali Gilani
Syed Ali Gilani is unwell in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) and people particularly religious scholars and Imams of masajid have been appealed to pray for his early recovery. APHC Chairman’s representative, Syed Abdullah Geelani, in a statement issued in Islamabad, today, said that due to the prolonged house detention, the veteran leader’s health condition has become bad in the past several days. Syed Ali Gilani is suffering from several ailments and presently his lungs have been infected due to which he is facing difficulty in breathing. Syed Abdullah Geelani said that Syed Ali Gilani is the guiding light for the people of occupied territory and that he will always act as a role model for the Kashmiris in their struggle against the Indian occupation.
