FM Qureshi says there is national consensus over Pakistan's nuclear programme

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that there is a national consensus over the nuclear programme of the country and the opposition members should remove their fears in this regard.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly on Wednesday, he said: "It is responsibility of all of us to defend the economic autonomy of Pakistan."

The minister said that the economic indicators have not deteriorated during the last three years and it was long story.

He said that there was need consider the circular debt and problems seriously.

"It is responsibility of the government to complete the quorum of the House and the opposition will have to play its role. We should not point out the quorum repeatedly if we want to keep the House functional," he added.

The minister said that the matters could progress in a better way of the opposition displays magnanimity.
