FM Qureshi should have been present in UNSC’s today meeting: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi should have been present in today’s meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Talking to the media on Friday, he questioned the seriousness of the government on the Kashmir issue and said that India has taken such step in Occupied Kashmir which has no example during the last 72 years. The PML-N leader said that why the government did not make preparation when it knew about the Indian act of revoking Article 370 long ago. “Why was a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) not called on the Kashmir issue? He also condemned the Indian firing on the Line of Control (LoC) and a blast in a seminary in Kuchlak, Quetta. “We will jointly teach a lesson to Narendra Modi if India attacked Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Setting aside our differences, we will make Modi an example if he made some mistake,” he declared. Ahsan Iqbal said that AJK speaker should issue the production orders for Maryam Nawaz as people want to hear her speech. “Modi is arresting the Kashmiris, but Imran Khan is arresting the opposition,” he said. “India has illegally occupied Kashmir.” He said that they would not allow anyone to bargain the Kashmir issue. Meanwhile, the PML-N leaders called on Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Masood Khan who hosted a dinner in honor of the delegation. The delegation was comprised of Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Pervaiz Rasheed, Maryam Aurangzeb, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha and AJK Information Minister Raja Mushtaq Minhas. The AJK president briefed the delegation about the latest situation in Kashmir.
