FM Qureshi, UK high commissioner discuss international & regional matters

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – British High Commissioner Christian Turner called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday. The minister expressed profound grief over the loss of lives due to coronavirus in the UK. He lauded the services of the doctors and paramedics fighting against the coronavirus pandemic across the world, including the UK. The British high commissioner lauded the facilities provided by Pakistan for the repatriation of UK nationals. He also appreciated the timely and effective steps taken by Pakistan to control the spread of coronavirus. Meanwhile, Foreign Shah Mahmood Qureshi made a telephone call to Norwegian counterpart Annie Ericson. They discussed different aspects of fight against COVID-19. Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed grief over the loss of lives in Norway. He apprised the Norwegian counterpart of the steps taken to combat coronavirus. Both ministers stressed the need for utilizing the resources to deal with coronavirus. The Norwegian foreign minister thanked Pakistan for making arrangements for the repatriation of Norway citizens.
