FM Qureshi vows to strengthen relations with Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi has vowed to further strengthen relations with Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan's Ambassador-designate to Saudi Arabia Ameer Khurram Rathore called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad on Friday.

Congratulating the ambassador on his new assignment, the Foreign Minister said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have strong bilateral and time-tested brotherly relations, which will further strengthen with the appointment of a seasoned diplomat. “With the government's focus on economic priorities, our ambassadors abroad should also employ economic diplomacy to play their role for economic stability of the country.”

He said that welfare of Pakistanis abroad is one of the top most priorities of our government and there are a large number of Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia who are contributing to the economic development of the country by sending their hard earned money to Pakistan.

The Ambassador-designate thanked the Foreign Minister and assured him of full implementation of his instructions.
