FM Qureshi holds delegation level talks with Afghan Caretaker PM Mullah Akhund

KABUL (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held the delegation level talks with Afghan Caretaker Prime Minister Mullah Hassan Akhund on Thursday.

They discussed matters of mutual interest, including ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of business and economy.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood said that they are determined to helping the Afghan brothers on humanitarian grounds. "We want durable peace and stability in Afghanistan. We want to enhance bilateral trade with Afghanistan."

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that visa facilities to Afghan citizens, especially the business community, opening up of new border points, and facilitating movement are steps taken by Pakistan to facilitate the people of Afghanistan.

He expressed Pakistan's resolve to play a constructive role, in collaboration with Afghanistan's neighbouring countries, for peace and stability in the region.

Meanwhile, Afghan Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister Molvi Abdus Salam Hanfi hosted a lunch in honour of Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the delegation. Afghan Foreign Minister Ameer Hassan Mutaqi and cabinet members were also present.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi thanked the Taliban leadership hosting a lunch and according them a warm welcome.
