FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi says Sialkot incident is regrettable

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the Sialkot incident is regretful.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that the government will take Sri Lanka into confidence over the matter.

"Prime Minister Imran Khan himself is monitoring the matter. We have contacted the Sri Lankan foreign minister," he maintained.

The minister expressed the resolve that the people involved in the incident will be brought to justice. "We hope that the incident will not harm the cordial relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka," he added.

He said that the government had tried to take all opposition parties into confidence over the electronic voting machine. "We have attracted the world attention toward the Kashmir issue at each forum. It is Pakistan's stance that Kashmir is an international dispute," he maintained.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the country would soon come out of the economic crisis.
