FO rejects Indian objections to FM’ telephone call to Mirwaiz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Foreign Office (FO) has reaffirmed its support for Kashmir cause and rejected Indian objections to Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi's telephone call to All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. In a statement, the Foreign Office reiterated that Kashmir is an outstanding dispute between India and Pakistan and acknowledged as such through UN Security Council resolutions as well as numerous Pakistan-India documents, including Simla Agreement and Lahore Declaration. The Foreign Office also categorically rejected any insinuation that seeks to project the legitimate struggle of Kashmiri people for self-determination as terrorism. It said Pakistan is committed to extending its political, diplomatic and moral support to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Foreign Office also clarified that the leadership in Pakistan has always been communicating with Kashmiri leadership and this is not anything new. It reiterated that Pakistan will maintain its support and solidarity with Kashmiris until the dispute is resolved peacefully in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and wishes of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
If India speaks language of bullet, Pakistan to respond with bullet
In previous briefing, FO spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal has announced that if India speaks the language of bullet, Pakistan will respond with the bullet. The FO said that if India speaks the language of peace, Pakistan will respond peacefully, adding, “If it speaks the language of bullet, we will respond with the bullet.”
FO says Pakistan regrets on India’s childish attitude on Kartarpur
Dr Faisal has regretted that India is showing a childish attitude towards finalizing the draft agreement on Kartarpur Corridor. He said that Pakistan on Monday had shared a detailed proposal along with a draft agreement with the Indian authorities in line with the spirit of the prime minister’s vision and invited an Indian delegation to Pakistan to discuss and finalize modalities for the agreement.
Ceasefire violations by India on LoC
To a question on latest ceasefire violations by India on the Line of Control LoC, the spokesperson said India resorts to such diversionary tactics just to cover its ongoing oppression and atrocities against innocent Kashmiris in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
