FO says peace along working boundary in interest of both the neighbours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Hours after the Foreign Office summoned the Indian High Commissioner over the unprovoked firing along the working boundary, it said that peace and tranquillity along the working boundary is in interest of both Pakistan and India. Speaking at his weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah said it was also decided at the Ufa meeting between the prime ministers of two countries that the relevant officials will meet to discuss the issue. When asked whether the recent ceasefire violations have any adverse impact on the upcoming meetings, the spokesperson pointed out that ceasefire violation took place in the past also but despite that both sides met from time to time. "Pakistan is committed to the decisions announced at the UFA meeting," he said.
