FO summons Indian deputy high commissioner, condemns LoC violations

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – South Asia and SAARC Director General Dr Mohammad Faisal summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh in the Foreign Office (FO) on Monday.

The FO condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces on Line of Control last Saturday.

According to the FO spokesperson, the Indian forces resorted to unprovoked fining at Chirikot sector killing an 18-year-old civilian Muhammad Attique Qureshi.

The director general urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Understanding, investigate the incidents of ceasefire violations, instruct the Indian forces to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit and maintain peace on the Line of Control (LoC).
