FO takes notice of kidnapping of Pakistanis for ransom in Turkey

GUJRANWALA (92 News) – The Foreign Office has on Tuesday took notice of the news aired on 92 News regarding the kidnapping of four Pakistani boys kidnapped in Turkey. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria said that the government is aware of the media reports regarding kidnapping of Pakistani young men for ransom in Turkey. He said that the diplomatic missions of Pakistan in Ankara and Istanbul have taken necessary measures to apprise the Turkish authorities, who are extending cooperation. The spokesman said that they were also in touch with concerned authorities in Pakistan to gather further details in the matter with the view to address the issue. Four friends namely Abid, Zeeshan, Usman and Adeel residents of Hafizabad road went to Turkey to earn their livelihood when an Afghan group kidnapped and tortured them. The afghan group made video and sent it to the heirs of the abducted boys and demanded Rs 8 million ransom.
