FO terms news about Asia Bibi’s departure from country baseless

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal has termed the news about the departure of Asia Bibi from country as baseless. In a statement on Thursday, he said that Asia Bibi is in the country and she has not left the country. The Supreme Court had acquitted Aasia Bibi on Oct 30, but the decision sparked three-day-long mass protests led by the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). The protests were called off after the religio-political party reached an agreement with the government, the foremost condition of which was the placement of Aasia's name on the ECL.
