Fog grips several cities in Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) – Fog on Saturday engulfed several cities, including Lahore, across the province. Different cities of southern and central Punjab are also in the grip of fog. Motorway (M-2) has been closed from Sheikhupura to Lahore. Motorway remained fog-bound from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and Gojra. The Motorway police have directed the motorists to use fog lights. According to the spokesperson of Motorway police, visibility level has dropped significantly due to fog. The spokesperson urged the commuters to refrain from unnecessary travel on the highways and motorways. Drivers have been further advised to contact Motorway police on Helpline 130 for any travel guidance. Punjab engulfed by a thick layer of fog affecting daily life and vehicular traffic in winter. The poor visibility makes travel on motorways dangerous and also affects the air traffic.
