Foreign Funding Case: SC adjourns hearing till tomorrow

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Monday adjourned the hearing of the disqualification case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and party’s foreign funding case until tomorrow. A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Umar Bandiyal and Justice Faisal Arab resumed hearing the case. During the proceedings, Anwar Mansoor, the counsel of PTI completed his arguments. Anwar Mansoor said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have no right to audit the party’s funds after they have been audited. To which the Chief Justice remarked that every political party was accountable for their source of funds under Article 17 (3) of the Constitution. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar remarked that the prohibited funding will be seized according to the law. Justice Umer Atta Bandial remarked that the PTI has not concealed anything and has submitted all the documents.
