ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif hass said that there is no organized terrorist group in Pakistan.
Briefing the federal cabinet about his meeting with US Ambassador David Hale on Tuesday, he said that had rendered the sacrifice of 70,000 people in the war against terrorism and spent US$100 billion on it.
He said that the world acknowledged the sacrifices of Pakistan. “I have also informed David Hale about our reservations.”
The minister said that Pakistan had taken indiscriminate action against terrorists.
The minister said that Indian role with regard to Afghanistan had always been negative.
Earlier, the US Ambassador David Hale paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif.
Ambassador Hale briefed the minister about President Trump's latest statement on the US policy review on South Asia and Afghanistan. Ambassador Hale conveyed that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson looked forward to meeting the foreign minister in the next few days to have an in-depth discussion on the state of play in the bilateral relationship as well as the new US policy on South Asia.
The minister stated that he had accepted the invitation when the Secretary of State called him on August 14 and looked forward to his early interactions in Washington.
He reiterated Pakistan's perspective and desire for peace and stability in Afghanistan. Highlighting Pakistan's immense sacrifices in the enduring fight against terrorism, the minister underlined Pakistan's continued desire to work with the international community to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
