Former army chief Raheel Sharif casts his vote without any protocol

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former chief of army staff (COAS) Gen (r) Raheel Sharif casted his vote without any protocol. Gen Raheel Sharif went to the polling station without any protocol and discouraged the VIP culture system. Giving respect to the ECP and citizens, Gen Raheel waited for his turn to cast his vote same like the common citizen. The former army chief followed the rules and regulations as well as code of conduct during the casting of vote. He casted his voter from NA-129 Gujrat constituency. Earlier, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar cast his vote in NA-130, Lahore. Polling began at 8am in the morning and will conclude at 6pm in the evening. The nation will elect 270 members of the National Assembly and 570 members of all the four provincial assemblies for the next five-year term today.
