Former BHC CJ Noor Muhammad Meskanzai shot dead in Kharan

QUETTA (92 News) - Former Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court Noor Muhammad Maskanzai shot dead in Kharan.

The former Chief Justice was shot during prayers in a mosque in Kharan. Noor Muhammad Maskanzai has also been the Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court.

According to DIG Kharan Range, unknown persons fired at the Former Chief Justice from the window of the mosque, as a result of which two persons including the Chief Justice were injured, but Noor Muhammad Maskanzai succumbed to his injuries.

The banned organization claimed responsibility for the incident.

The Quetta Bar Association and lawyers' organizations have announced three days of mourning and court boycott over the killing of Justice Retired Noor Muhammad Maskanzai.
