ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Former federal minister Malik Amin Aslam announced to quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that he had suffered a setback due to the May 9 incidents. "Army installations were the target wherever the PTI rallies were taken," he added.

He said that the PTI itself should have brought the responsible to justice by holding an inquiry.

Malik Amin Aslam said that the PTI ideology was the supremacy of the law and the constitution. "Monuments of the martyrs were damaged. I think that all this was not done without planning," he added.

He said that he had joined the party with an ideology and leaving it with a heavy heart.
