KARACHI (92 News) - Former MNA Akram Cheema announced to leave the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday.

Addressing a press conference here, he condemned the May 9 incidents. "We will have to bring the miscreants of May 9 to justice if we want to make progress," he added.

He said that the people are able to live peacefully due to the sacrifices given by the armed forces. "It is our right to do politics for the betterment of the city. Now there will be no racial politics in Karachi and there will be only the politics of Pakistan," he added.

Meanwhile, PTI Overseas chapter former office-bearer Waseem Akhtar Ramay also parted the ways with the party. He said that the May tragedy was an outcome of the aggressive attitude of the PTI chairman against the institutions.
