MULTAN (92 News) – At least eight Pakistanis including former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s nephew Asad Murtaza Gilani were martyred, while 311 Pakistanis have gone missing in yesterday's Mina stampede. The incident occurred when large number of pilgrims tried to enter through Gate No 204, while 13 Pakistanis were also present at that point. A follower namely Tariq has on Friday sent a picture of Martyred Syed Asad Murtaza Gilani to his family member after which the bereaved family confirmed his martyrdom. A large number of followers and relatives reached at the house of martyred Asad Murtaza Gilani. Talking to media, former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said that the bereaved family wished Asad Murtaza Gilani to be buried in Jannatul Baqi, but the body should be sent to Pakistan in case of shortage of space. Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said that the Martyrdom of Asad Murtaza Gilani is good thing but his loved ones are saddened. Hafsa Shoaib and Zareen Naseem from Karachi, Saeeda Nargis Shahnaz from Azad Kashmir embraced martyrdom in the incident, while Zainab Bibi, Madina Bibi, Noor Muhammad and Muhammad Aslam from Dalbadin Balochistan also embraced martyrdom. According to the Pakistani officials, the bodies of martyred pilgrims are still present in the hospital. On the other hand, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the incident and prayed for the departed souls.
