Former PMs considered themselves to be kings, says PM Imran Khan

LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that former prime ministers considered themselves to be kings, but he is a democratic prime minister.

Addressing a ceremony after inaugurating non-stop Jinnah Express in Lahore on Saturday, he announced that the government is starting the health insurance from the poor.

He said that government employees should also get health cards. “The railway journey is the journey for the poor. The track made by the British people has reduced now,” he said.

The journey from Lahore to Karachi will be covered in 15 hours.

 

Stringent security arrangements were made on the arrival Prime Minister Imran Khan. Owing to opening of one passage, passengers faced problems.

He said that wages of the railway labourers should be increased.

Speaking on the occasion, Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed said that he would ask the Petroleum Ministry to transport petrol through the railway.

He thanked the prime minister for giving respect to the ride of the poor. “Allah Almighty helps when the country is free of corruption,” he said.
