Former rulers usurped rights of people of Southern Punjab: CM Usman Buzdar

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that former rulers had usurped the rights of the people of Southern Punjab.

In a statement on Monday, he said that the PTI government had first time prepared a book of development budget of Punjab.

The CM said that the ratio of the development budget of Southern Punjab was not above 17 percent in the past.

"We have allocated over 34 percent budget and returned the right of the people to Southern Punjab. In the past, Southern Punjab funds were shifted to other projects," he added.

Usman Buzdar said that the former rulers had deceived the people of Southern Punjab in the name of progress. "The Southern Punjab funds will be spent only on the progress and prosperity of the people there," he added.

He said that the days of the backwardness and deprivation of Southern Punjab have gone. "We will set an example of progress and prosperity of Southern Punjab," he added.
