PPP founding leader Dr Mubashir Hasan laid to rest

LAHORE (92 News) – PPP founding leader Dr Mubashir Hasan was laid to rest in a local graveyard in Lahore on Saturday. Syed Adeel Abbas led the funeral prayers attended by hundreds of people from different walks of life. Dr Mubashir Hasan was shifted to hospital after his condition deteriorated in the morning. But he could not survive. He was the finance minister during the government of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had founded the PPP at the house of Mubashir Hasan back in 1967. Later, he left the PPP after developing differences with Benazir Bhutto. He had been president of PPP Shaheed Murtaza Bhutto Punjab chapter. Dr Mubashir Hasan having socialist ideas also worked for peace in India and Pakistan.
