KARACHI (92 News) – Four alleged terrorists were killed in an encounter with the police near Northern Bypass on Saturday. SSP Rao Anwaar said that the police had acted on information about presence of criminals. “On seeing the police, the criminals opened fire on them. The police also retaliated, killed the four terrorists,” he added. The SSP said that the terrorists belonged to the banned Al-Qaeda Subcontinent. He said that the terrorists had attacked the Rangers in Korangi. “The accused were also involved in grenade attacks on the police,” he added. Rao Anwaar said that an activist of the gang had already been killed. “The terrorists select such places to live peacefully,” he maintained. He said that the terrorists were identified from their CNICs. “We are jointly working to arrest the knife attacker,” he said.
