Four cops suspended for torturing citizens in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – At least 29 people were apprehended in a search operation conducted in Karachi’s different areas on Thursday. On a tip off, the law enforcer carried out a search operation in Guzri area and arrested 13 suspects. On the other hand, police have nabbed at least 16 people including two accused injured in alleged encounters. Meanwhile, four police personnel were suspended for allegedly torturing citizens in Korangi area. The agitating area residents staged a protest demonstration against police torture.
