Four KDA officials, SIC leader among nine handed over to Rangers for 90 days

KARACHI (92 News) – Nine people, including KDA Deputy Director Land Najumuz Zaman and Sunni Ittehad Council leader, were handed over to the Rangers for 90 days. Earlier, Rangers produced KDA Deputy Director Land Najumuz Zaman, Abdul Qavi Khan, Anwar Farooqi and Muhammad Ali in an anti-terrorism court. The KDA officials said that they were not involved in target killing. The judge remarked that the Rangers had full powers to investigate them. Another ATC handed over SIC secretary general Tariq Mahboob to Rangers for 90 days. He faces the charge of providing financial help to terrorists. Meanwhile, the Rangers revealed the arrest of four more workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Thursday. A petition regarding the missing of MQM workers Faraz Ali, Adnan, Bilal and Shakir was being heard by a two-member bench of the Sindh High Court led by Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh. The Ranger officials told court that the arrested accused were involved in different criminal activities. Later, the MQM workers were handed over to Rangers for 90 days.
