Four killed, 11 injured in coaster-pickup crash on highway near Islamabad

ISLAMABAD/MASTUNG (92 News) - Four people were killed and 11 others injured in a traffic accident at Srinagar Highway in Islamabad on Sunday morning.

According to the details garnered, the collision between coaster and a Suzuki pickup occurred due to over speeding resulting in the death of the four people and injuries to 11 others.

The accident took place near the Police Lines traffic light when the pickup jumped the signal and smashed into the coaster. Rescue teams reached the spot of the unfortunate incident as soon as reports were received and the injured were shifted to hospital.

According to rescue officials, passengers in the coaster were labourers who worked at the airport.

The bodies and injured people have been moved to PIMS Hospital. The hospital said that the people killed were identified as 54-year-old Gul Khan, 44-year-old Alim Jan and 36-year-old Naseem Khan.

In another road crash that took place on the National Highway in Mastung, where a vehicle carrying oil hit an ambulance.

The horrible crash claimed three lives and severe wounds to two others. Getting information the rescue teams reached the spot and moved the bodies and injured to nearby medical facilities.

Rescue officials, after being informed, had reached the scene and shifted the bodies and the injured to the nearby hospital.
