LAHORE (92 News) – Four people were killed and 21 injured when fire engulfed a leather godown in Lahore’s Mochi Gate area on Wednesday night. The deceased include Feroze Khan, Abdul Malik, Dad Khan and Abdul Wadood. The injured were shifted to Mayo Hospital. As many as 12 vehicles of fire brigade extinguished the fire after hectic efforts. People told 92 News that the fire started at the third storey, which engulfed the entire building no time. About 200 workers lived in the building where leather carpets had been stored. After getting information, the rescue teams reached the spot and rescued the trapped people. The condition of several injured is stated to be critical. An injured said that they were sleeping in a room when the fire started. Rescue officers said that the fire was the result of network of electricity wires surrounding the building.
