Four major generals promoted to lieutenant general: ISPR

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The Inter-Services Public Relations on Friday announced that the four major generals were promoted to lieutenant generals. Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Major General Nauman Mahmood, Major General Azhar Abbas and Major General Faiz Hameed have been promoted to the rank of lieutenant general, the military's media wing said.
Six major generals promoted to rank of lieutenant general
In previous year, on Sep 28, six major generals of Pakistan Army have been promoted to the rank of lieutenant general. According to a press release issued by the ISPR on Friday, the promoted officers include Maj Gen Shaheen Mazhar, Maj Gen Nadeem Zaki Manj, Maj Gen Abdul Aziz, Maj Gen Asim Munir, Maj Gen Adnan and Maj Gen Waseem Ashraf.
Lt Gen Asim Munir appointed as new ISI DG
Military Intelligence Director General Lieutenant General Asim Munir on Wednesday appointed as the new DG Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).

The Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR) announced the appointments of seven lieutenant generals which are as follows:

Asim Munir appointed as new ISI chief. Lt Gen Muneer’s appointment comes after former Lt-General Naveed Mukhtar, retired October 1 (on Monday). He was among the six major generals who were promoted to the rank of lieutenant general on September 28. Lt Gen Azhar Saleh Abbasi appointed as Chief of Logistics Staff, GHQ and Lt Gen Nadeem Zaki as Comd Mangla Corps. Lt Gen Shaheen Mazher, Lt Gen Abdul Aziz appointed respectively as Comd Peshawar Corps and Military Secretary GHQ. Meanwhile, Lt Gen Muhammad Adnan appointed as VCGS (B) while Lt Gen Waseem Ashraf as IG Arms. Earllier on On September 28, Six Pakistan Army officers promoted to rank of lieutenant general.The promoted major generals included Shaheen Mazhar, Nadeem Zaki Manj, Abdul Aziz, Asim Munir, Adnan and Waseem Ashraf.
