Four policemen died as vehicle overturned in Sheikhupura
SHEIKHUPRA (92 News) – Four policemen dead as van overturned on Faisalabad road in Sheikhupura on Sunday.
According to the details, the police van was transferring an accused person to Lahore from Layyah which overturned at Faisalabad road. Four police officials died and other four included wanted accused sustained serious injuries as their van turned turtle in Sheikhupura.
Two officials succumbed to wounds while being shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, whereas, five more policemen were shifted to General Hospital in critical condition as they sustained severe wounds on head. Later, two more officials succumbed to injuries.
The deceased persons were identified as Ghulam Mustafa, Asadur Rehman, Mujahid and Kauser. The accused person, Aslam, has received stomach injuries in the road accident and taken to Mayo Hospital Lahore.
It is pertinent to mention here that the officers of Gulberg Police Station, Lahore were coming back from Layyah after arresting a suspect – who is also seriously wounded – when their van overturned after its tyre burst near Bhikki.
Six killed in road accident near Muzaffarabad
On April 7, at least six people were killed when a jeep fell into a ravine near Muzaffarabad.
According to details garnered, the unfortunate vehicle was on its way from Neelum Valley to Muzaffarbabad when the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Pungran police station.
The incident was happened when the vehicle took a turn and slipped into ravine. The deceased include a woman and children. Upon being informed of the incident, rescue teams reached the spot and began operation to retrieve bodies.
The identities of the deceased are yet not known. The local people are rescuing on behalf of themselves.
Two women among four die as jeep falls into ravine in Shangla
Earlier, four people, including two women, were killed when a jeep fell into a ravine in Shangla. Two injured were shifted to Rural Health Centre. On the other hand, three people were killed in a collision between a truck and a van in Gojra.
Meanwhile, 16 people were injured and shifted to hospital. The condition of three injured is stated to be critical.
