KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi has on Wednesday said that four matches of the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be played in Karachi in February next year. Addressing a press conference in Karachi after meeting Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah who assured him of full cooperation including fool proof security for the international event, he said that an International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation will be arriving in next four days and shall also be briefed about the security arrangements by the Sindh government. The PCB chairman the Board will be sharing the security plan developed and implemented in Lahore with the Sindh government so as to facilitate them in coming forward with an hitch free internationally accepted scheme. “We, however, have to address the concerns of visiting players and their respective boards,” he said. The PCB chief also took strong exception to the attitude of national media regarding forthcoming visit of Sri Lankan team. Sethi said that following the decision of the International Cricket Council (ICC), it is possible to play with arch-rivals India, however, he said that they will not back away from the case against India. Commenting on the issue of not selecting Fawad Alam despite good performance, the PCB chairman said that he was not the right person to answer why Fawad was not selected, adding that if anyone wants to know why Fawad was not selected, they can question chief selector Inzamamul Haq.
