Fresh cold snap hits Pakistan

QUETTA (92 News) – A fresh wave of cold hit parts of country as a new system of rain and snowfall began from today (Monday).
Rain lashes various areas of the country while snowfall blankets the northern areas.
A cold snap blanketed many parts of the country including Hunza Valley in snow, which rarely sees temperatures dropping to the 0-Celsius mark or below.
Icy conditions also led to the closure of roads in the northern areas.
Rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at a number of places in Balochistan today, scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA and isolated places in Rawalpindi and Sargodha divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Met warned that the rainwater could cause flooding in nullahs and streams of Balochistan.
However, foggy conditions are likely to prevail over Gujranwala and Bahawalpur divisions.
