Fruit, vegetables prices go sky-high across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Shopkeepers have increased the prices of fruit and vegetables across the country.

People told 92 News that banana and orange were being sold at Rs 150 and Rs 250 per dozen. Moreover, dates and strawberry are available at Rs 175-225 and Rs 105-135 per kg.

They said that seasonal vegetables are being sold at Rs 80-120 per kg. "Lemon is being sold at Rs 500 per kg," they said.

The customers said that tomato, which was available at Rs 45 per kg, was being sold at Rs 62 per kg.

On the other hand, the chicken price has increased to Rs 400 per kg.
